Guardian Angel

You know your kids are going to encounter trouble. There will be dangers out there ... and you hope and wish that they get through in the best way possible, maybe that someone is looking out for them when you can't. You can't be there all the time ... but maybe some spirit or force of your love and that of your family will stay with them and protect them as they make their way through their lives.
This family had two architectural niches in the hallway upstairs. Empty. White (contractor grade flat white, at that). Just begging for something special to happen.
With photo's of the kids from earlier years, a couple of classical pics, and more photos from now, we created a couple of very personal art pieces to express that feeling of concern. Their Grandmother is the spirit that the kids think of as looking out for them, so the angel has her dark hair.
Looming woods, lightning, full moon, jungle, abrupt waterfall, rapids, broken bridge, inadequate railings, what the heck are they doing there? Playing?!? Now - if you or I were there we'd be skootching them off to safer ground, taking them back home, making sure that they had diner & brushed their teeth before they go to bed.
But.  You know the blurb.
We're not always there. Here's wishing that someone or something else can at least make sure they don't break their legs & drown while they're out playing.
And also wishing them the best for the future, that there are bright abundant lands in front of them, that they stick together, and the angel is still at their back, should they need her.
Yeah - we've got sentimental bits. We care about the feeling and message in what we do.
